Integrative Cancer Recovery and Recurrence Prevention in Portola Valley
Ayur Integrative Medicine serves cancer survivors throughout the Bay Area. Under Dr. Malathi Acharya—Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Hospice & Palliative Care, Diplomate of Integrative Medicine—Ayur bridges Western follow-up with Ayurvedic wisdom to restore immunity, balance hormones, and prevent recurrence through sustainable habits and nutrition.
Shaped by Leaders in Integrative Oncology
Dr. Malathi Acharya completed advanced fellowship training in integrative medicine and had the opportunity to train alongside and observe leaders in integrative oncology, including Dr. Donald Abrams. Through firsthand observation of real-world cancer consultations at UCSF, she witnessed how complex medical information can be delivered at a pace patients can truly absorb, and how integrative strategies are woven into everyday life between visits. This experience shaped an approach centered on clarity, continuity, and meaningful support beyond the exam room. Today, Dr. Malathi brings evidence-based integrative oncology into compassionate, practical care that helps patients feel informed, supported, and more confident through treatment, recovery, and survivorship.
